During your adventure in Eternal Odyssey, you will encounter various types of veins scattered throughout the world. These veins, found in diverse locations ranging from common ground to dangerous caves, contain valuable resources that you can extract for .
You will come across different veins based on the zones you explore:
Common Veins: These include brass, copper, and iron. You will find these veins near lower-level monsters or in accessible areas.
Rare Veins: For materials like iridium, red beryl, malachite, and cobalt, you must venture into more dangerous zones where you will encounter higher-level monsters. The rarity of the veins increases with the difficulty and health of the monsters.
To extract resources from these veins, you will need a pickaxe. There are four tiers of pickaxes available, each unlocking access to more valuable veins and offering improved efficiency:
Apprentice's Pickaxe: Available for free from or for purchase from tool NPCs for 50gp. It can also be crafted.
Novice's Pickaxe: Crafted using specific materials.
Miner's Pickaxe: Crafted using advanced materials.
Expert's Pickaxe: The highest-tier pickaxe, crafted with rare materials, enabling you to mine all types of veins with the best efficiency.
Higher-tier pickaxes increase the success rate of mining and reduce the chance of depleting veins. The Expert's Pickaxe provides the greatest efficiency and access to all available resources.
The Gathering Skill is shared between mining and , which allows you to effectively gather resources from the environment:
Mining Regularly: Improve your Gathering Skill by frequently mining veins. As your skill increases, you will become more efficient at mining and gain access to rarer veins.
Skill Advancement: The more you mine, the better your skill and the ability to craft more advanced pickaxes.
To collect ores from veins, right-click on the vein (for Premium players) or right-click your pickaxe and left-click on the vein to begin mining. Your pickaxe tier and Gathering Skill will determine your success and efficiency in obtaining resources.
Veins Cooldown: After mining a vein, it will take 900 seconds (15 minutes) for it to reappear.
Collect Ores: Mine different types of veins to gather ores.
Upgrade Pickaxes: Use crafting to create higher-tier pickaxes for better mining.
Mine Rarer Veins: Explore dangerous areas to find rare veins.
Repeat: Continue mining, crafting, and upgrading to enhance your gear and gather resources.
Craft Ingots: Convert ores into ingots through the system.
